Venice is the most romantic destination in the world? Its certainly hard to beat, especially if you’re right her residence in the center of the action.

Venice is a city built on water – right on the northeast coast of Italy, overlooking the Adriatic – and is famous for its canals, opulent palaces and religious buildings and beautiful art famous. It has an airport on the mainland, but from there, you have to take a water bus to reach the city.

For a relatively small town, there’s far too brief visit to a pack. Instead, visit the churches, galleries and restaurants, the slightly off the beaten path, where atmosphere and tradition are still rich. If you have time, visit the nearby islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, all historical and cultural worth a visit.

How do I get around?

One of the beauties of Venice, is that it has no road network. Most tourists use the water bus (vaporetto) system, which is regular and relatively cheap. Those who look for romantic Venice can be rented in a gondola over a larger costs. By far the best way to explore the city, is on foot. This way you can discover the parts of the city that most water-buses not to do, travel, and you can reach architectural and shopping pleasures on the road.
